2010 in review

I can’t believe it is January 2011!  It seems like just yesterday it was January 2010.  I usually post a site stat review at the beginning of January which involves me crunching a bunch of stats behind the scenes and posting the Top 10 posts for the year.  To my surprise, this morning a stat review arrived in my inbox from WordPress.  It’s not exactly the same info that I usually look at, but it’s good enough.  I am posting their report below.  Honestly it’s been a slow blogging year for me.  I knew I hadn’t written that much this year but I was surprised to see that I had only written 10 new posts in 2010.  And equally surprised that I had 24,000 hits last year.  Most of those hits were viewing old content from 2008.  I’m not exactly sure how to take that, but at least people are reading.  Also from WordPress today I saw the Post-A-Day or Post-A-Week challenge.  Both of these options seem a bit much for me.  I mean really, does the blogosphere really need 365 posts from me in 2011?  Or from any blogger?  52 posts even seems like a lot, but I do hope to post more than ten times in the upcoming year.

Thanks for reading and here is WordPress’ stat review for Pilgrim Without a Shrine:
